"We have all of our resources here, including BGE, who runs our gas for the county," said Francis. "We're going to make sure that everything is safe in the neighborhood. In a news conference Sunday, Plum Chief of Police Lanny Conley said the Allegheny County medical examiner had determined four adults and one adolescent child died from the explosion.
